Terms of Service

These are the terms for using Timecard Genny. I wrote them to be readable, not to trick you. By using the tool, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Who made this

Timecard Genny is built and run by me, Harris Khan (referred to as "I," "me," or "my"). It is a tool that helps you fill out crew timecards and kit rental forms and export them as PDFs. You can reach me at [email protected].

What you get

Access to Timecard Genny is sold as a one-time payment of $30 for the account it is bought on. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. Future upgrades and updates are included at no extra cost for as long as the product exists.

An account is required

You can try a free sample without an account to see how Timecard Genny works. To fill out and export your real timecards and kit rental forms, you need a paid account, so that your data can be encrypted and synced securely to that account.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
• Access is for your own use. Please do not share your account or resell access.
• Your password also protects your encrypted data, which I never see. If you lose your password, I can help you get back into your account, but I cannot recover the timecards you saved before, because only your password can unlock them.

You are responsible for what you submit

Timecard Genny formats information that you provide onto forms. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything on your timecards and kit rental forms, including hours, rates, meal times, personal details, and signatures, and for reviewing each PDF before you submit it to your payroll company or employer. I do not verify, submit, or process your timecards, and I am not a payroll provider, accountant, or legal advisor.

Payment and refunds

Payment is processed by Stripe. Timecard Genny is a one-time $30 purchase. If something genuinely is not working for you, email me at [email protected] within 7 days and tell me what is wrong. I built this alone and I want it to actually work for you, so if there is a real problem I cannot fix, I will refund you. I do not offer refunds simply for a change of mind, or after the tool has already been used to complete and export your timecards, since at that point you have received the value. I am a person, not a corporation, so if your situation is genuinely unfair, talk to me and I will do right by you.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the tool for anything illegal or fraudulent.
• Do not try to break, overload, copy, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Do not upload content that is not yours to use.

I may suspend or end access for any account that abuses the service or breaks these terms.

Ownership

The Timecard Genny name, logo, design, and code are mine and are protected by intellectual property law. Using the tool does not give you any ownership of them. The blank payroll and kit rental forms remain the property of their respective owners, and Timecard Genny is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies. The information you enter and the completed PDFs you generate remain yours.

Availability

I work to keep Timecard Genny running, but I cannot promise it will always be available or completely error-free. No online service is.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This includes, without limitation, any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. I do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any timecard or PDF it produces will be free of mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing your own forms before you submit them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will I be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, wages, or income, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. My total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for access or twenty US dollars ($20).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or the service will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you agree to that jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, I will do my best to let account holders know. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
